January 20, Her People

from A Song A Day in January by Arcanasphere

about

The prompt was "Nonsense Words." Inspired by a favorite musician, I wrote half of a story and slowly prodded an Artificial Intelligence into writing the second half. This is the second half, generated by AI. I am not the first to do this.

lyrics

She had found her family. The love that had been there in the past had morphed into this new kind of love.

Slowly, things became clearer to Melissa. At this moment, she realized that she could open and close her eyes

This wasn't the life she had imagined for herself. She thought the world was a tricky place and that most people were too silly or stupid to live it for longer than a few days. But she could at least have this...this home.

Her people.

And something far beyond that. A power was so close to the door that she couldn't reach it. Her breath reached the door, but only the air. She could reach out, but not enough to touch the surface. She could even look inside. She knew there were people.

about

Arcanasphere Austin, Texas

Arcanasphere creates reverb-heavy alt-rock from Austin, TX. I draw inspiration from goth, post-shoegaze, introspective pop punk, live theater, & electronic/hybrid music.
Theater training & performances influence the mood and lyrical content. Art is the safest place to look into our own souls. Each song is a love letter to our wishes & dreams.
